How To Curb Winter Cravings With Healthy Habits
Email :141

When we went through all months of summer, we wait for winter season eagerly. Winter means cosy corner with soft blanket, warm cup of tea, lots of nutritious foods, and waiting for morning sunlight in balcony. When winter comes we all crave for something that satisfy our tongue. Craving does not always means hunger, it is a kind of desire to eat anything spicy, salty or savoury. In this moment, we delve into unhealthy foods that becomes a habit for all winter season. To get rid of this, here I brought some of ways to stay away from unhealthy cravings and include nutrition in one’s diet:

Let’s delve into details, here:

Start your day with warm soup, not coffee

With metabolism naturally slowing down during winter months, the digestion process becomes slow and hence the body needs warmer foods. The morning of colder months are usually not good for consuming any veggies in raw form. That’s why, one need to replace raw juice with soup. Additionally, we all know that coffee and tea are not healthy habits to consume early morning. Therefore, always go for warm soup in morning.

Here’s how I make my own soup during winter:

Eat Healthy fats instead of unhealthy one

Healthy fats are the most nutritious and healthy options for those who crave eating but end of having processed foods. Healthy fat foods include nuts, seeds, ghee, plant-based milk, etc. I love having these fats in any season. Especially ghee, It nourishes my body, repairs skin tissues and gives me a glowing skin outside. You can add these superfoods in various ways to your diet. Start eating peanuts with sunlight on your terrace, it gives boost to inner strength. Eat walnuts with family during movie time. It’s fun, isn’t it?

Have warm sip of herbal tea instead sugary drinks

Thirst can easily distinguish the cravings, have water or healthy liquids. Keep yourself hydrated with Tulsi, ginger, cinnamon herbal teas. If you are plant lover like me, you too have some dried flowers at home. Foe example, collect dried Aprajita flower from your balcony plants and use it to make herbal tea at home, it has lots of benefits.

That’s all for today, Happy winters!
