Skin care does not mean using expensive products for getting better results. For getting the expected result, one should take care of one’s diet, lifestyle, and all other things which affect their lifestyle. Since I frequently update my routine to give a personal touch of skincare to myself, here, I will tell you 13 amazing tips to get clear flawless skin without spending an arm and a leg.

Avoid commercial products

One of the reasons to avoid chemical products is their composition and harmful elements. Creams and moisturizers have oil as their base and nothing special is added. Moreover, most of the products contain some harmful chemicals that can pose risks to human health and the environment. Examples of such chemicals are lead, mercury, PFAS, and others.

Now the question is: what can one use instead? You can leave your skin as it is after a wash without applying anything. This way, the skin heals faster and it recovers itself. But, in the tropical country like India, skin becomes dry or greasy based on the season. To avoid these problems, you can use products that could be made at home. You can start by switching at least one product a month. For example, you can learn how to make your own facewash first and then go for other things. If you do not have time, research and try to get more natural alternatives to highly commercial one.

Always wipe out makeup before going to bed

Wiping makeup before going to bed is an essential step to prevent skin breakouts and to reduce skin inflammation. When makeup is not removed, the skin does not breath properly that lead to generate new cells and repair the skin.

Enough water

Avoid too much fried and processed food

Highly processed foods not just promote systemic inflammation but also degrades collagen, that lead to dullness and premature aging. The store-bought foods are prepared using used industrial oils that is extremely harmful for a human being.

How the bad quality food affects the skin:

  • Clogged pores and Acne: Prepared food can give you worse acne and pigmentation. When you eat certain foods that are made of reused refined oil, trigger hormones that increase Sebum production. Sebum is basically your skin’s oil. These excess oil with other issues provoke acne and pigmentation on the face. Clogged pores could promote further whiteheads, blackheads, pimples, and cyst.
  • Premature aging and Dullness: Heavy consumption of fried, charred or processed food promotes biological aging at a cellular level. These kind of foods destroy proteins like collagen, causing loss of elasticity and youthfulness of skin.
  • Collagen damage: One of the main causes of collagen damage is processed food. Collagen damage can slower wound healing process of skin. It can also lead to loss of skin firmness and elasticity, making it look dull and loose around main features of face.

Use a natural scrub and face pack once a week

I highly recommend everyone beyond gender to use face packs that include natural ingredients. A natural scrub before face pack remove dead cells and dirt from skin. It deeply cleans the skin by removing blackheads, excess oil, and dirt. After that, using face pack is what I suggest. This removes remaining dirt from the face.

Get enough vitamin D from Sun

Stepping out of home in early morning is not just about fresh air and environment but also about getting sunlight. Vitamin D from the Sun clears skin by fighting acne-causing bacteria. It balances oil production, calms the skin, and strengthen the skin’s immune system.

Get enough sleep

Sleeping is essential to have a flawless and youthful skin.

Change your pillow cover often

Include healthy soup in your diet

Do meditation

Do breathing exercises

Face massage
